Robert M. Hooke started working in the systems furniture installation industry in the St. Louis area in 1984. The very first project was working as a Foreman on a 4000 workstation job for Southwestern Bell HQ in St Louis. He moved to the Philadelphia area in 1986. Before establishing Hooke Installations Inc. (HIN), he progressed quickly with two other companies including one in which he had ownership. HIN began operations in 1996, utilizing the customer base established from the previous 10 years. The corporation is 100% owned by Robert M. Hooke.

The company's primary activity is servicing the systems furniture dealer network as well as corporate clients in Philadelphia, Delaware and surrounding areas. The company bases its business on reputation, previous experience and contacts. Project sizes range from 1 workstation to 1000's of workstations.

The Hooke Group is comprised of:

Hooke Inc. (HI) The management and administrative services.

Hooke Installations (HIN) The systems furniture operating company.

Hooke Interiors (HINT) The warehousing company

HIN has a core of union carpenters/furniture installers that are trained in installation of all types of systems and freestanding furniture. These men have been educated on the approach it takes to deal with all of the client's requirements. All jobs are performed with a "Can Do" attitude. We are committed to finding solutions to be able to finish the job on time and to the customer's satisfaction.

HIN has the knowledge and experience to manage projects from the beginning to the end. This includes determining what the client's needs are for scheduling, warehousing, delivery, on site coordination, installation, punch list and move in. Two trucks and drivers are readily available to accommodate the need for delivery, trash removal and movement of product. We hire tractor-trailers and drivers from Ryder Transportation for larger loads. Our responsible personnel are constantly in communication to allow for decisions and quick responses. All personnel wear Hooke Installations shirts.

Hooke Interiors maintains a 50,000 square foot warehouse. This facility contains client's furniture that is considered existing inventory. We use this inventory in conjunction with new furniture orders to facilitate client's furniture reconfigurations. HINT also receives new furniture orders and re-delivers them according to client's requirements and building restrictions. HINT maintains inventories to allow our customers to keep up to date on their assets. The warehouse has 2500 square feet of office space. This space contains the management/administrative offices of the Hooke Group allowing quick response for all of our services.

During (2) recent projects, Hooke Interiors received product in our warehouse, re-delivered to site and installed furniture for the Wharton School of Business (500 workstations/offices) and AAA-MidAtlantic (1000 workstations in various locations). Both projects were performed seamlessly, on-time and within budget. The Wharton School project involved 65 trailers of product from multiple manufacturers. This project was done directly for the University of Pennsylvania. AAA-MidAtlantic was comprised of Herman Miller AO-2, Ethospace, Resolve and V- Wall floor to ceiling. All of this furniture came through the Hooke Interiors' warehouse and was re-delivered. The Headquarters project alone was 35 tractor-trailers.
